Project Comenius

In July 2009 our school was given together with our partner schools from Denmark, Spain and Great Britain a grant for the project The impact of personal food, drink and lifestyle choices on personal health, social issues and cultural identity, the environment, global economy and the distribution of wealth. This project will be realized from August 2009 till July 2011.

Dronninglund Gymnasium, Denmark

Gronninglund Gymnasium is a state funded High School, situated on the island which forms the northern part of Jutland. Dronninglund Gymnasium offers 3 years of secondary education to pupils between 16 and 19 years of age. There are around 400 students in the 15 classes, 5 classes in each year, and the students come from the local area.

Personal Health


I.E.S López Neyra, Spain

IES López Neyra is a secondary school located in the outskirts of Cordoba in Andalucia. There are approximately 750 students aged 12- 18. Approximately 15% of students have special educational needs and 5% of them are from immigrant communities. The school has had Bilingual and ICT status since 2005.

Gymnázium, Brno, Slovanské Náměstí 7 is a comprehensive school in Brno, in the district of Královo Pole. It has 600 pupils aged 13-19. Pupils are drawn from a range of ethnic groups from the local areas. An international ethos characterises the school, and there is a bilingual teaching project in some subjects

The Environment


Prince Henry’s Grammar School, Great Britain

Prince Henry’s Grammar School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school serving the market town of Otley, some 12 miles from the City of Leeds. Pupils are drawn from predominantly white monolingual communities and approximately 10% of pupils have special educational needs. The school has Specialist Language College status.
